Santa Monica Boulevard Transit Parkway Project, Los Angeles, California
The Santa Monica Boulevard Transit Parkway project included the reconstruction and reconfiguration of 2.5 miles of Santa Monica Boulevard between I-405 and the Beverly Hills City limit. The $67 million project included neighborhood access roads on the north and south sides of the main road, new street lighting and traffic signal system, a landscaped median, bicycle lanes and bus priority features. KOA provided worksite traffic control design and temporary traffic signal modification design for the construction of decorative concrete signalized intersections along the boulevard. The work satisfied City of Los Angeles traffic engineering requirements. California Transportation Foundation (CTF) TRANNY Awards “2008 Roadway Project of the Year”
