Rancho Santa Fe Association Community Master Plan Phase 1 Improvements, San Diego, California
The community of Rancho Santa Fe sought to improve the walkability, while also adding charm to their historical village area. After successfully developing concepts into a master plan for the Rancho Santa Fe Association, KOA was contracted to lead the design of the first phase of the plan. The task involved the design of curb pop-outs and medians at selected locations. These two improvements are designed to enhance pedestrian mobility, create landscaping opportunities and calm vehicular traffic. The design also accounts for large vehicle turning radii due to a truck route designated within the project limits.
