Mid-City Exposition Light Rail Transit Traffic Engineering Services, Los Angeles, California
LA Metro is constructing a 9-mile long light rail system on existing railroad right-of-way along Exposition Boulevard from Downtown Los Angeles to Culver City. The light rail system will be connected to the existing Long Beach Blue Line on Flower Street in Downtown Los Angeles. The project is being constructed under a design-build contract using state and local funds. KOA Corporation is designing temporary traffic signals, permanent traffic signals, and is developing traffic control plans to accommodate the construction of the light rail system, including the construction of at-grade crossings, intersection pavement improvements, and utility relocation along the route.
